• This annual grass can be found throughout most of Texas in waste places, disturbed sites, open rangeland and along roadside ditches. Especially adapted to alkaline soils.
• Greens up very early in the spring, and matures to a straw colored yellow quickly.
• Provides very little grazing to livestock and wildlife.
